Dr. Rania Ibrahim is the Founder and CEO of Innova Healthcare Consultancy. A medical doctor with a Master of Science in Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame, she brings over a decade of experience in public health, healthcare innovation, hospital transformation, digital health, and public-private partnership development.
Dr. Rania has held senior advisory and leadership roles with Ethiopia’s Federal Ministry of Health and St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, supporting strategy, operations, institutional reform, and major healthcare initiatives. She is also a serial healthcare entrepreneur, having co-founded Hello Doctor, Ethiopia’s first tele-based general medical advisory service, and founded ventures including Evergreen Medical Spa and CheMed, an e-pharmacy platform developed to expand access to essential medicines.
Under her leadership, Innova has guided more than $300 million in healthcare investments, supported 15+ major healthcare projects, and contributed to initiatives serving more than 100,000 patients annually. The firm has grown from an Ethiopia-based consultancy into an expanding regional advisory platform, with a second office in Kigali, Rwanda, and plans underway to establish a presence in Burkina Faso. Her work is grounded in practical innovation, institutional strengthening, and expanding access to high-quality healthcare across Ethiopia and the wider African region.
